![]() "Doing playwrights and the theatre at large a fine service" The Times The International Playwriting Festival has been discovering and promoting the work of new playwrights since 1986. Over the years it has consolidated the Warehouse Theatre Company's role as a powerhouse of new writing. The IPF is held in two parts: The first is a competition with entries accepted from all over the world, which are judged by a panel of distinguished theatre practitioners. The second is a showcase of the selected plays which is held in the following March. The IPF also presents the best in new Italian playwriting, in partnership with Premio Candoni - the foremost in Italy and the best in new Greek playwriting, in association Theatro Ena, Nicosia. This enables the work of selected writers from each festival to be presented by the partners, and thus the opportunity to see their work performed internationally.
